mom confession #1,000,456,789 —

sometimes, I am so stuck in my own little world & crossing tasks off my own list, that I forget there is an outside world —

full of people who cannot afford Christmas gifts, who have no family, who are struggling to make ends meet, who are having a baby they cannot support…

I love helping those people. I have to remind myself (or Ben reminds me) that I cannot help everyone I come across that is struggling.

When I stopped teaching, I was certain that I would return to VB once a week to volunteer, help teachers, & work with students…

I haven’t even been once! πŸ˜”πŸ˜”πŸ˜” I have been back to visit once or twice, but not to volunteer my time…..

Right now, I am knee-deep in motherhood (loving it so much) & it’s hard to find the time to volunteer & serve like I would like to….

…all in good time…….

Yesterday the girls & I went thru bins of toys & clothes & baby gear to help a young mother who just gave birth and had no support & nothing for her baby girl….

Today we went out to purchase few more items to put with ours & went to make our delivery to a friend of the young mother…

It is a good lesson for Jacyn! When I help someone, I do tell her who we are helping & what situation they are in — and I do not sugar coat too much…

I can tell my Jacyn has a big heart! πŸ’˜πŸ’˜πŸ’˜

I got many great responses yesterday about pulling Jacyn and working with her at home & I appreciate all of them!

one that really hit me was a momma that said this within her message —

You get out of your child what you pour in their heart and you can’t pour anything in if you don’t have focused time with them. In your 204 days teach her to love others, empathy, to ask herself what Jesus would do……..

How great is that? yes yes yes!! πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’― tough lessons to teach, but oh so important!

After our special bucket-filling delivery, we finished our magical sugar cookies & played some Barbies! —

this post is a little bit of rambling here & there, about this & that, & the house is a mess 😳 —

πŸ’˜ but our hearts are full!!! πŸ’˜πŸ’˜

We don’t know the young mom & will likely never meet her, but it feels good to know we were able to help :-))

πŸ’˜ Love — Ann (& J & Hattie) πŸ’˜πŸ’˜
