Well, Monday is winding down and I am happy to hear it.
Today was definitely not so hot, as I have diagnosed myself with the start of a sinus infection – or something very similar. I have major pressure in my head and under my eyes & I am very raspy.
When school was over, I worked on plans for awhile and listened to my Pod to get me pumped up for a workout. Eh… I felt semi-pumped.
But by the time I left school & drove home, my head was telling my body no way. It is still aching, but I have taken Day Quil by now and I still plan to work a thigh / ab workout of some form in tonight. It may be a short workout and not of the best quality, but every little bit helps, right?
Dinner last night was this:
^ Chicken Parmesan, which Ben picked out from Costco.
^ The N.facts are not horrible anyway, but I changed mine up a bit.
^ I used Ronzoni Healthy Harvest whole grain pasta.
^ Dinner Comparison
(Notice the Benefiber Plus Calcium in the corner – Love)
Ben and I have always done this. There is not a dinner we eat where our meals are completely alike. I usually modify mine in some way ~ it is usually healthified in comparison, and also smaller in proportion.
Other dinner comparisons ~
We always have salads once a week ~ Ben has breaded chicken strips with shredded & blue cheeses, with ranch dressing. I stick with all veggies, or sliced turkey occasionally. I use parmesan cheese and FF Italian dressing. And Goldfish for added crunch!
^ Quesadilla ingredients Ben vs. Ann
We often have chicken quesadillas. Ben uses shredded cheese, while I use either parmesan cheese or Reduced Fat shredded cheese. He uses regular flours, while I use my favorite food item in the world ~
^ LaTortilla Factory Smart & Delicious whole wheat
= 50 cals and only 3g carbs VS. (Ben’s) 160 cals and 27g carbs
Yum! Plus these have 7g of fiber, so they are very filling!! If you have not tried them before, I highly recommend them.
^ I also eat nearly an entire can of peas with my quesadilla. I love love love peas lately ~ with parmesan cheese.
More food comparisons later.
I am going to get that workout in and work on school tasks and mail out some more goodies ~
If you are interested in the healthiest meal ever, let me know!
PS: Look at how smart Baby Lilly is –>
^ What a big potty, Mom! Time for a Freat!
She always takes the smallest potty on her pad just so she can earn a treat. Ben thinks it is silly of me to give her one for this, but how can I not?
Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?
Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God.
Your playing small does not serve the world.
There is nothing enlightened about shrinking
so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.
We are all meant to shine, as children do.
We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.
It is not just in some of us; it is in everyone.
And as we let our own light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.
